“Canstruction” is the 8th. annual design-build competition to benefit the Orange County Food Bank..

Five teams of architects and engineers will build elaborate structures made from canned goods; the items will be displayed at ARTIC from Sept. 5-27. All the cans then go to the food bank.

Hensel Phelps built a replica of the gateway to LAX using 4,100 to represent the construction work they are doing a the airport.

Fourteen other groups are building projects at South Coast Plaza and will be on display starting 10am on September 5.
